The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 on Monday night, securing their first victory at Lincoln Financial Field since 2021. The win was powered by a ground attack that produced 204 rushing yards, marking the team's highest output for the season. Dallas had managed just 29 combined points in its two previous games, making this offensive explosion a sharp reversal in momentum.

Running back Javonte Williams anchored the rushing effort with a career-high 155 yards. He also scored his eighth rushing touchdown of the season, a total that currently ties him for the league lead. Quarterback Dak Prescott complemented the run game with a 15-of-27 passing performance for 212 yards and three touchdowns. He connected with CeeDee Lamb twice and George Pickens once.

Prescott's accuracy stood out against a defense that applied pressure on only 15% of his dropbacks through three quarters. This marks his ninth multiple-touchdown game against Philadelphia, a mark second only to Eli Manning and Sonny Jurgensen. Prescott now holds a 39-11 record against NFC East opponents. The offense also utilized George Pickens in the slot nine times, a usage rate that matched his single-game high from the first six weeks.

The Eagles' defense struggled to contain the attack, surrendering 416 total yards to Dallas. Of that total, 330 yards were gained before the fourth quarter began. The unit allowed a touchdown on the opening drive for the fifth time this season and the fourth time in a row. This places them tied with the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins for the most opening-drive touchdowns in the league.

Philadelphia's offense started strong, posting season highs with 10 points and 124 yards in the first quarter. However, the team fell to 2-5 after its fifth consecutive loss. Backup quarterback Tanner McKee started for Jalen Hurts and completed 23 of 35 passes for 211 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Rookie receiver Makai Lemon recorded his first career touchdown.

Running back Saquon Barkley played through a hamstring injury and finished with 62 rushing yards on seven carries and a touchdown. He was listed as questionable with a back injury in the fourth quarter and did not return to the field. The Eagles will face the Washington Commanders on Sunday at 8:20 p.m. ET, while the Cowboys host the Arizona Cardinals at 1 p.m. ET.
