New York judges sentenced three Alexander brothers to 30 years in prison on Tuesday for their roles in a decades-long sex trafficking operation. Tal Alexander, 40, and his twins Oren and Alon, 39, were convicted in March of using their wealth and social standing to lure women to parties and luxury homes where they were sexually assaulted.

The court heard from 12 victims during sentencing, including one woman who did not testify during the initial trial. Many women asked the judge to impose the maximum penalty of life in prison for each brother. Maya Miller told the court that Tal Alexander raped her in 2014, leaving her without a sense of safety. "I carry a quiet funeral within me for the person I might've become if this never happened to me," she said.

Isa Brooks, who used a pseudonym, testified that she was raped by Tal and Alon Alexander when she was 16. She stated that the assault destroyed her ability to trust herself. "I had no idea the danger I was in til it was too late," she said. Another victim reported that Tal Alexander threatened her by saying he knew where her sister worked when the woman planned to report the rape.

Prosecutor Elizabeth Espinosa argued that the brothers deserved the maximum punishment, stating that the facts "paint a truly devastating picture." She noted that the men "honed their methods of luring women with the promise of luxury" and remained "completely unmoved by the path of suffering they left behind them." Defense lawyers argued the sex was consensual and described the brothers as womanizers rather than abusers, pushing for a 15-year sentence.

During the five-week trial, 11 women testified that the brothers gave them gifts and flew them to destinations including Aspen and the Bahamas. Prosecutors said the men slipped drugs into drinks and physically restrained victims during assaults. The pattern of abuse began in high school, though the trial covered crimes starting in 2008. Tal and Oren Alexander made their fortunes selling luxury properties in New York and Miami for clients including Lindsay Lohan, Kim Kardashian, and Kanye West. They founded their own firm, Official, in 2022, while Alon worked at the family security company Kent Security.

The three brothers showed little emotion while hearing their sentences. They stared straight ahead or conferred with their lawyers, who had advised the clients not to look at the victims to avoid appearing to stare. The sentence exceeds the 15-year term requested by the defense team.
