David Jackson, 57, and Blanca Jackson, 58, were booked into the Whatcom County Jail on October 25 without incident. The couple faces charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and theft of a motor vehicle stemming from an encounter that began on October 22.
Deputies responded to the 4900 block of Aldrich Road on October 22 after receiving a report of a motor vehicle theft involving an assault. The victim had arranged to meet a man at a retail store on Meridian Street to show a car for sale. During a test drive, the man stopped the vehicle and instructed the victim to exit. He then punched the victim in the head repeatedly. A second suspect arrived in a separate vehicle and struck the victim with kicks and blows.
According to the victim's account, one of the suspects restricted the victim's airway by placing hands around their throat. The man drove away in the victim's vehicle, while the woman departed in her own car. Investigators identified the couple as suspects and located a vehicle matching the description of the one leaving the scene in the Jacksons' driveway. This discovery provided probable cause for the arrests made three days later.
The timeline of the investigation moved from the initial report on October 22 to the physical location of the suspect vehicle in the driveway, followed by the formal booking of both individuals on October 25. The case remains open in the Whatcom County Jail processing system as of the most recent records.
