Amazon's New Echo Lineup Goes on Sale, With One Exception

Amazon has put most of its newest Echo hardware on sale as of 2026-10-28. The release covers speakers, a bedside clock and a smart photo frame, and it reflects a shift in how the company introduces products. Rather than showing off dozens of devices at a single annual event, Amazon now gives each product more room with its own launch.
Only one item in the group is still waiting. The Echo Show 16, arguably the most interesting device of the bunch, is set to launch on December 16th. Shoppers can preorder it now and take $100 off the price.
The updated Echo Dot offers 50 percent more bass than before, along with faster on-device processing meant to handle conversations with Alexa Plus. It also gains an extra microphone to pick up voices around the house. A new feature called Omnisense combines temperature and presence sensing, and it can control smart home devices without friction.
The Echo Studio keeps its role as a speaker but now adds a camera and the Alexa Plus assistant, under the name Echo Studio with Home Camera. Amazon plans to enable pairing with Fire TV devices after launch, which will let video calls appear on a larger television screen.
The Echo Time is a bedside alarm clock, though not the first Amazon has made. This model is built to help people sleep better, and it has no camera. It uses ultrasound to detect a person's sleep stage and can run smart alarms that ease the user into the morning, but only if the owner chooses to turn that on.
The Alexa Photo Frame has a 10-inch anti-glare touchscreen and comes in several design options. It runs Alexa and doubles as a smart speaker. The frame works with Amazon Photos, which provides unlimited storage for Prime members.
The Echo Show 16 is described as Amazon's most powerful and best-sounding smart display so far. It packs eight woofers and two tweeters between its stand and its screen. The display is VESA-compatible, and buyers can choose a pricier nanomatte screen option.
