Bruneau Cowboy Christmas is changing its location for the first time in its 27-year history. The event, which serves as a major holiday shopping destination in Idaho, will be held at Quey’s Farm this weekend. Organizers made the move to provide additional space for vendors, shoppers, and vehicles.
The shift marks a distinct departure from previous years. The new site is situated at 48803 Highway 78, near Bruneau Dunes State Park. This location allows the event to expand its footprint beyond the capacity of its former home. The organizers indicated that the larger area is necessary to support the growing number of participants and visitors.
The 27th Annual Bruneau Cowboy Christmas is scheduled for November 6 through November 8, 2026. More than 200 vendors are expected to participate in the event. Their wares include handmade jewelry, pottery, leather goods, Western clothing, antiques, and Christmas decorations. The lineup also features food trucks, wineries, and mobile bars. A build-your-own Bloody Mary bar remains a staple of the gathering.
Admission for the event is $5 for individuals aged 12 and older. A reduced rate of $2 applies to those who donate a nonperishable food item. Military personnel pay $2, and children 12 and under enter free of charge. Parking costs $10 per vehicle, with a single pass covering all three days of the event.
Hours of operation vary by day. Friday and Saturday sessions run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event concludes on Sunday at 3 p.m. Organizers noted that shoppers have traveled from all 50 U.S. states and Canada to attend the market over the years. The event continues its tradition of offering unique gifts that differ from standard retail options.
Local attractions are also available for visitors. Bruneau Dunes State Park is hosting special evening astronomy programs on Friday and Saturday. These programs provide an additional activity for attendees who wish to extend their visit beyond the shopping market. The combination of daytime shopping and nighttime stargazing offers a full range of experiences for those visiting the Bruneau area this weekend.
