Kickoff for the NFC matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Bears is set for 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday at Lumen Field.

SportsLine analyst Emory Hunt has predicted the Under on the 46.5-point total for the contest. Hunt, who holds a 28-16-1 record in his last 45 picks involving the Seahawks, sees the defensive performance of Seattle as the primary driver for a lower scoreline.

The Seahawks have allowed a league-best 233.9 yards per game this season. Opponents also average just 17.9 points per game against Seattle, a figure that ranks fourth best in the NFL. These defensive statistics form the basis for Hunt's projection that the game will not feature high offensive output.

Historical data supports the prediction for a defensive struggle. The Under has hit in three of the last four meetings between these two teams. In their most recent matchup in December 2024, the combined score was only nine points. Additionally, the Under has hit in four of Chicago's last six games and in each of Seattle's last two contests.

Offensive production has been modest for both sides recently. Chicago has averaged 22.8 points over its last four games. Seattle has averaged 17 points over the past two weeks. The Bears currently hold a 5-2 record, with a 180-143 point differential for the season. Seattle stands at 4-3 and has outscored opponents 168-125.

Quarterback Caleb Williams has thrown five touchdown passes in four games for Chicago. Wide receiver Luther Burden serves as his primary target, with 35 receptions for 491 yards and two touchdowns. The Bears have a 2-1 record on the road. The Seahawks are 3-1 on their home field. Seattle is 1-2 against NFC foes, while Chicago is 3-2 in the same divisional context.

Seattle has won four of the last six meetings against Chicago. The latest betting odds list the Seahawks as a 3-point favorite. Hunt identifies an additional X-factor that influences his side of the spread recommendation. His analysis suggests that the defensive efficiency of Seattle combined with the recent scoring trends of both teams points toward a controlled game.

The Bears aim to improve their record to 6-2 in the contest. Seattle seeks to extend its home winning streak. The game serves as a direct test of Chicago's road offense against one of the most restrictive defenses in the league.
