Aidoc has secured a spot on TIME magazine's Best Inventions of 2026 list for its artificial intelligence model, CARE.

The company announced the recognition on November 1, 2026. TIME's selection panel cited the technology's ability to detect a wide range of potentially serious medical findings. The model analyzes medical imaging and clinical text to help physicians identify conditions at an earlier stage.

When the system flags a potentially urgent finding, it prioritizes that examination for review by medical teams. This capability allows Aidoc to expand the number of conditions it identifies without building a separate AI model for each specific disease.

TIME evaluates annual entries based on originality, effectiveness, ambition, and impact. The 2026 list also features Anthropic's Claude Code and Lovable.

Elad Walach, Aidoc's CEO and co-founder, stated that medical foundation models capable of detecting hundreds of diseases are advancing diagnostic safety. "We are rapidly approaching a reality in which AI will serve as an additional pair of eyes in almost every medical diagnosis," Walach said. He described CARE as a major growth driver for the firm.

Aidoc's AI solutions have received clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration. The company said its technology is used in more than 150 healthcare systems in the United States and over 1,600 hospitals worldwide. Most hospitals in Israel also use the platform.

Founded in 2016 by Walach, Michael Braginsky, and Guy Reiner, Aidoc has raised more than $500 million since its inception. Investors include General Catalyst, TLV Partners, Magma Emerge, Square Peg, SoftBank's Vision Fund 2, and NVentures. The company's latest funding round closed in April 2026 and totaled $150 million, led by Goldman Sachs' growth investment division.
